For most of you succulents are unexplored territory, but one filled with beuaty delicacy and wonder. They are very very easy to care for and maintain, they love full sun and little water and can be planted in literally anything. Today we are talking about making wreaths and monograms out of colorful succulent plants, items that preserve the plants alive and offer beautiful visual impact. Rich colors and different textures will compose inexpensive impressive creations that can be used to animate your front door or your fireplace mantel. The trick is to position them in a place where they can receive plenty of sun light during the day and to water spray them every 2-3 weeks.
The creation process is quite easy. You will require a list of materials before beginning:
- wreath frame
- sphagnum moss
- old fishing wire
- bobby pins
- succulent clippings
The first step is represented by the moistening the moss in a bowl for 5-10 minutes until it is completely wet. Fill the wreath frame from its back with the wet moss. Next you will have to wrap the frame with the fishing wire that will keep tings in place. You should now add another layer of moss and secure it in place with wire once again. Now you can start adding the succulent clippings and it is recommended to start by placing the bigger ones first. Make holes in the moss for the plants by using a pencil or a wooden stick. Make sure the plants will be kept in place by securing them with bobby pins. Allow some space between the succulents for them to properly grow. After placing the tiny plants in between the larger ones you are done and you can display your incredible creation wherever you consider it fit.
