Working with small spaces and limited surfaces it`s one of the most difficult challenges, today all across the planet homeowners and architects alike are trying to configure small surfaces to proper living areas through custom setups bent to the inhabitant`s needs. To redecorate & organize an existing small apartment is one thing but to propose a new layout within the boundaries of a small apartment and enhance it`s even harder. For this particular challenge KW Studio have been summoned, they`ve designed a superb habitat entitled Ethnical Minimalism, an extraordinary urban apartment located in Warsaw Poland. A new vibe shivers through it now enhancing and emphasizing the space allowing the light to bounce to a Scandinavian Style designed apartment that maintains ethnical minimalist values.
Antique Chair Used as a Bedside Table for the Lamp
The contrast in the interior design is created between textures and colors versus minimalist white furnishings and white surroundings through out the apartment. Stark white walls, glass and folding doors are emphasizing the feel of space allowing natural light to bounce through the entire apartment.
To this impeccable setup Moroccan carpets, access pillows, Iranian seat cushions, Argentinean kilims and vintage paintings snapped out of the 70s-80s are complementing the design through contrast in a magnificent manner. The surface of the aparment measures just 56 square meters but visually it looks spacious and airy thanks to the white used. To the rather cold white stark a herringbone pattern has been introduced through the flooring, a wooden pattern that would grant the space coziness, warmth and rhythm at the same time. The tiles in the bathroom and kitchen are recalling the Warsaw`s pre-war flooring design the apartment managing easily to mix several design lines in an ensemble.
Bedroom In Scandinavian Design Style With a Small Work Area
An exposed brick wall in the living area adds contrast through texture while reminding the owners of the home’s historic chart. The open living area nestles the kitchen, dining space and small living space in an open floor plan, and the simple immersive bedroom adds to the relaxed ambiance of the house.
“Beautiful pendant and table lamps give the interior a dash of industrial charm, while the decor ushers in bright pops of accent colors.”
