Covering a massive surface of 5300 square feet, the modern mansion hides an original concept envisioned by world renowned architectJonathan Segal. The home is realized out of a concrete shell which protects the inner home, forging extraordinary communication between exterior and interior while maintaining an imposing apparel:
“Due to the unusually small property in an area with typical properties three to four times the size, every square foot was important. The exterior room was a key element in creating a home that otherwise would have felt small, to feel larger and more private than it is. While this space creates a void, the overall form of the building is kept intact”.
As a result, this exterior room offers the home a new space which emphasizes the interior and the exterior at the same time, transcending values and attributes from both spaces in a void, creating a bridge between privacy and exposure, between sublimity and opulence. Featuring roof solar panels along with other ingenious power systems the home manages to be a source for itself, supplying almost 100% of the required power. Such sustainable attributes are found more and more often in today`s modern mansions but still not as often as they should, reason for which we would like to place this on top of others in our “top”. What do you think about this modern residence? Too much exposed concrete?
THIS IS IT…
