Architect studio José Francisco García-Sánchez designed the ‘Gallarda House’, a simple minimal holiday home with expansive views of the Mediterranean Sea and a three body conception. Each part of the home is designed out of a different material. We have limestone for the upper part, high amounts of glass for transparency in the living area and a small block of concrete that covers up the facilities area. The rectangular shaped block seems to float over the glass base and features two small terraces where the mineral meets the natural and a pool deck where one can relax on summer nights.
The stark white volume blends in quite beautifully in the earthy toned scenery.
Stark white is the basic tone used for architecture in this zone.
