Lucky Drops is a one of a kind, unique and out of the ordinary Long and Narrow Translucent House designed by Japanese architecture studio Atelier Tekuto outside Tokyo.Resembling something out of Star Wars, this strange looking home has sent the living spaces underground and uses the overground structure to capture and transmit the natural light inside. The metallic structure keeps an all stark white color scheme inside to make the space seem larger and to reflect light properly. Although the concept behind this unusual idea is unknown, we can appreciate the ingenious solution for solving a small site problem, even dough this is not the case.
No matter the angle you choose to look at this construction, you could never guess this sculptural narrow shape could house living facilities.
We couldn’t have imagined such a conception for a regular home but the Japanese come and dazzle us yet again.
The stark white of the metallic structure reflects and diffuses the natural light captured from above discretely.
At night, the artificial light diffuses from the ground up, inverting the process.
The interior display of spaces resembles a ship’s interior, with minimum utilities solved in a minimum of space.
