Can you use a kiln for drying an air-dry clay?

No, you can’t. Exposing an air-dry or natural clay to high temperatures results in the formation of cracks and eventually breaking down. As already mentioned, these clays dry up if kept in the open air; therefore, no kiln or oven is needed to dry them up.
