Located in the suburbs of Athens, H.2 Residence represents a metamorphosis of an architectural form through extension realized with success by 314 Architecture Studio. Its form becomes interesting because of its natural and quite perfect integration into the architectural and design purpose and finds its place into a peaceful site with various climates and characteristics.
The house itself, a fragmented but united geometrical composition fits into its context and is composed by three one floor apartments of 250 square meters each. These spaces that provide two small bedrooms and one master bedroom breathe a comfortable and uncompromised living style. The metamorphosis of form is backed by the concept of the interior flowing and airy space that allows the diffusion of light through glass walls to the heart of the building. Speaking of light, inside the structure there is an atrium that invades the whole house with natural light. The interior becomes refined and in close relationship with the nature and the panorama. The masion has its own bioclimatic design provided especially by its position. On the one hand it saves energy and it creates a connection between the building and the water and on the other hand the water makes a natural cooling system. All the materials are carefully chosen and they contain low carbon footprintand. All the spaces invite their guests to experience the individuality of functions and identity of furniture, design, finishing touches, texture and light. The atmosphere created by all these components is warm and cozy, in harmony with the inhabitants which are protected from the aggressiveness of the city.
