No one can invent a new coffee table, yet many of the contemporary designers are reinventing either the structure, concept, apparel or overall design process.A while ago we have presented you an elegant, exquisite, highly customizable Origami Coffee Table and today we found another one; the table is designed by Ekta Shah and her description regarding the piece of art follows bellow:
“My inspiration is in the natural forms and processes in the world around us. The roots of a tree anchor it to the ground and support it. This function was the dominating characteristic that informed the design for the table. My intention was to have the individual bent plywood pieces that comprise the base to be connected in a manner that support the glass tabletop, but give the illusion of randomness and the organized chaos that is present throughout nature.
Bent plywood pieces are adhered with bio-resin, a resin consisting of bio-derived materials like pine oils that result in a lower environmental impact and higher user safety”.
Homesthetics Conclusion
We consider the thought process behind the design very important, and the result even more important; in this case the result may be interpreted differently by each individual but the concept and inspiration of the designer for the table should be known by all buyers and interested people.
